Gwen Stewart
Braidwood Reed-Custer
Principal: Shane Trager
Gwendolynn Stewart is an 8th grader at Reed-Custer Middle School. She is the daughter of Robert and Stacey Stewart and is the youngest of 7 kids. Gwen has been involved in many activities over the years, including basketball, track, captain of the volleyball team, school play, speech, solo and ensemble, jazz band, drum major of marching band, tour guide for new students and president of NJHS. She has received The Eagle Award, fitness champion, ACE award, and student of the month all three years of middle school. She has also received the principal's award. Outside of school, she is involved in NPL travel soccer and enjoys spending time with her teammates. For fun she plays the saxophone and piano, and likes to play ping pong with her parents. When she’s older she hopes to make a good difference in the world, and plans to start her own company. She recognizes she would not have received this award if not for coaches, parents, and the people who have supported her through everything; she appreciates having the opportunity to be nominated for an award such as this one.
