Alyvia Mulvaney
Kincaid South Fork
Principal: Stephen Groll
Alyvia’s experience in IESA has provided her a playbook of life lessons. Alyvia has participated in cheerleading, softball, volleyball and basketball throughout her junior high career. Through her participation she has learned to be confident in all she does, hard work pays off, setbacks are inevitable, and always show good sportsmanship regardless of the outcome. The lessons she learned through activities have helped her strive in the classroom as well. As much as she loves sports she still prioritizes her education. Despite her busy activity schedules, she remained focused in the classroom as she was a constant on the high honor roll. Alyvia prides herself in being not only a good teammate, but also someone younger athletes can look up to as a role model. Sports have given her the opportunity to mentor and volunteer in youth leagues. One of her most favorable feelings from her time in IESA, is the sense of belonging. Being part of a team is like having a second family. The miracle of being part of that family is despite any differences they have, those differences disappear as they come together for a common goal. “Having the privilege of participating in athletics has taught me many valuable lessons. I know I would not be the individual I am today if I did not participate. I will cherish these experiences and forever be grateful. This is why I love this game!”
