Game Comments: The first semifinal game of the Class A tournament pitted the Braves of Casey-Westfield and the Saints of Bloomington Holy Trinity. Both teams came out on fire scoring 2 runs a piece. The scoring continued for both teams in the 3rd. Casey Westfield's top of the order scored four more runs with 2 singles by Conner Cutright and Darian Morgan followed by 2 triples by Maleah Neal and Kyleigh Decker. Bloomington Holy Trinity came back in the third inning scoring three runs with 2 hits by Greta Witter and Mallorie Segobiano. However, the Saints went cold in the fourth inning while Casey Westfield continued to hit in the fifth with a home run by Kyleigh Decker. Alyssa Van Valey pitched a great game striking out 10 batters but took the loss for Holy Trinity. Holy Trinity will play in the 3rd place game at 2:30. Casey Westfield will play for the Class 1A State Championship at 4:30.
