| Game Comments: Both teams were slow to start the first semifinal game tonight. Danielle Benninghoff scored a three at the end of the first quarter to give Peotone the early lead. Edwardsville kept it close at the half. Lincoln's press gave Peotone guards fits trying to bring the ball up the court, but the Wildcats didn't score many points off turnovers which kept the game really close. Peotone went quiet in the fourth quarter and Lincoln went 4-7 from the line to give their team the boost it needed to win the game. Leading scorer for the game is #3 Danielle Benninghoff with 11 points for Peotone. The Mustangs will face off in the third place game Thursday night. The Wildcats remain undefeated for Thursday night's championship game. |
