Both teams still seemed to have some nerves. With 1:25 to play in the first a play went crazy out of bounds and a cooler filled with ice water spilled all over the floor. Play was delayed while the host school, Monticello, dried the floor. Both teams were out on the floor talking and laughing with each other. After this they all seemed to settle down and each team scored in double digits in the 2nd quarter. St. Agnes cut into the leadin the 3rd quarter down to 2 points by the end of the quarter. In the fourth quarter with 2 min to play Mendon was up by 5 points and held that lead until 27 seconds to play. #20 Connor McGrath drained a three with 5 seconds to play in the game cutting the lead to 1 point. Unity had to call a timeout on the inbounds play and on their second attempt the ball got loose and there was a scramble on the floor when time ran off the clock.
