| Game Comments: In the fourth quarterfinal, the Scotties of Fisher met the Mohawks of Grand Ridge both teams started out with a quick 5 points. The Scotties had 7 first quarter steals. In the first three minutes they had an 11-5 point lead. Jones-Watkins carried his team with two steals and multiple assists. Great defense throughout the second quarter kept the Mohawks out of a rhythm. Hill and Vickers hit multiple threes to try and keep their team with the Scotties but Jones-Watkins hit two clutch threes to keep the Mohawks off balance. Thomas broke down the defense scoring multiple points in the paint. The Scotties ended the first half with close to 8 steals ending the first half with a 238_20 lead. Hill tried to keep his team in the game with 3 threes in the second half. Thomas hit a three with 20 second left to end the Mohawks comeback. Hill hit a momentum grabbing 3 at the buzzer to end the third. Purvis brought the momentum back to the Scotties with a quick two to start the fourth. Vickers hit another 3 in the fourth trying to keep the Mohawks in game. Jones-Watkins kept his intense defense throughout the fourth. Dougherty hit a three with 2 minutes left to grab momentum for the Mohawks. With 1:25 to play, Meents hit a three for Fisher to stop the comeback. The Scotties ended with 7 second half steals to win the game. Congratulations to both teams. Fisher will play in the 6:30 semifinal match tonight. |
