Kaitlyn Glover
Dunlap Valley MS
Principal: Jason Holmes
For her commitment to community service, academics, and interscholastic activities, Kaitlyn Glover has been selected as a Scholar Attitude Award winner representing Board of Directors Division F.
Through her participation in speech, Kaitlyn has gained the confidence and speaking techniques needed to run for Midwest District Representative as a part of the IAJHSC. In speech, she’s learned the importance of practice to become comfortable in presenting in front of a crowd. “Through my interscholastic involvement, I have gained confidence and determination to be the best leader that I can be.” She says sportsmanship and a positive attitude are two important reasons why interscholastic activities are so important for the development of today’s youth.
Her compassion for others is evident through her commitment to eliminate bullying. Kaitlyn has felt the effects of bullying firsthand and knows that a support system is critical. “I have personally experienced bullying and my family and friends were the reason that I overcame it. That experience is the reason I am so passionate about stopping bullying in its tracks,” she says.
