Eric Bassett

St. Jacob Triad

Eric Bassett

Principal:

Eric Bassett of St. Jacob Triad says he knows sportsmanship is important because he benefited from it personally when he was struggling in scholastic bowl. He says the encouragement he got from teammates when he had wrong answers and felt like an outcast inspired him to keep working to get better and it has paid off. He made varsity three years in a row.

Add that to student council and dedication to academics and Eric has little time for much else in his schedule. He's most proud of being voted captain of his school's scholastic bowl team, beating two other very qualified candidates who also happen to be his best friends.

He wants to use his love of learning to ignite a passion in other kids when he becomes a history teacher one day.
