Ashley Tabb

Principal:

Ashley Tabb of Arthur excels in virtually everything she does. Student of the month, multiple player of the week distinctions, regular inclusion on the high honor roll, state cheerleading, state track, most valuable player both seventh and eighth grade for basketball and volleyball, and outstanding art student are just some of her achievements.

One of the people who inspires her most to keep achieving is her father who she says makes her a more responsible and respectful person by setting a great example for her.

Ashley says she's proud of herself for pitching 45 of 48 games during a tournament for her 12 and under girls softball traveling team. She adds that going to the USSA National Tournament and beating in extra innings the number one team in Missouri where the tournament was held also left her beaming with pride.

She wants to become a nurse to care for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital one day. She says watching how nurses cared for her own brother who was born 7 weeks early made a huge impact on her and she wants to do that for someone else's child some day.
