Jennifer Woodrow receives IESA Distinguished Service Award in Music

Kristen D'Alfonso

Jennifer Woodrow is the recipient of the IESA Distinguished Service Award in Music for 2023. Here is what her former Principal had to say about Jennifer. Mrs. Woodrow has been an intricate part of Danville District 118 and the community for the past twenty years. Mrs. Woodrow participated in the Danville symphony orchestra. She established the Beef House Dinner Theater and directs the choirs, show choirs and theater company at North Ridge Middle School. Through music and theater, she has chosen themes that help impact students’ lives. North Ridge was the first junior high/middle school group to host a national competition. North Ridge was also the first middle school champion at the Show Choir Nationals. Mrs. Woodrow has fostered many students in the love of music.

Congratulations Mrs. Woodrow!
