| Match Comments: Jacksonville Turner Starters: 13, 11, 24, 12, 23, 20. Normal Parkside Starters: 39, 18, 35, 28, 2, 23. Game 1 -- Turner jumped to a 4-1 lead but Parkside tied the score at 4-4. The score was tied for the last time at 11-11. An ace by Turner's Sara Coakley put her team ahead 13-11 and Parkside never could get back in the game, which ended on back-to-back kills by Turner's Karri Rutledge. Game 2 -- From a 4-3 lead to a 7-4 margin on a kill by Natalie Freeman, Parkside was on a roll. Then Turner tied at at 8-8 and the two teams battled back and forth to the 20-point mark. Turner took the lead at 19-18 and then it was tied at 20-20. Parkside's Hannah Collins drilled a pair of bullet ace serves to give her team a 22-20 lead. Turner battled back for a 22-22 tie with Brooke Woods serving and her ace off Parkside's Kayla Bullock gave her team a 23-22 lead. After Turner took a 24-22 lead, a kill by Turner's Jacey Pate ended the game and gave the match to Jacksonville Turner. |
