Player Limitations in Regular Season Tournament Play

ATTENTION ALL IESA VOLLEYBALL COACHES

January 31, 2002

The IESA Office has received several calls this year concerning individual game limitations. The IESA By-Law 4.0641 states:

An individual student shall be limited to three games in one day in all regular season play and four matches per day in all tournament play.

The use of an ineligible student-athlete in any game shall make the forfeiture of that match automatic; and mandatory if won by the offending school. This violation usually occurs with 7th graders playing in both the 7th and 8th grade matches. It is the responsibility of the coaches and administrators to make sure that their student-athletes are meeting the individual game limitations.
