Game Comments: In the 1st quarter both teams were getting their nerves under control through most of the quarter. Cissna Park held th eball for the last shot but a turnover gave Milton Pope a fast break lay-up to end the quarter tied 10-10. In the 2nd quarter Milton Pope took the lead 13-12 on a 3pt basket by #10 Trent Nugent.At the start of the 2nd half #4 Beau Anderson drained a three point basket. The teams exchanged baskets. With 2:23 to play #4 Anderson stole the ball with an assist to #20 Alex Rabe for the lay-up 22-17 Cissna Park. With a mintue to play in the 3rd quarter #41 for Milton Pope, Peyton Schrag, scored a 3pt basket to tie the game at 22 a piece. In the 4th quarter Cissna Park held Milton Pope scoreless with their smothering defense. #22 Cole Hasselbring had several key rebounds that kept the ball in Cissna Parks hands. Leading scorers for the Wildcats were #20 Alex Rabe with 16 points and #22 Cole Hasselbring with 10 points. Hasselbring went to the line 17 times and ended up 8 for 17 from the free throw line. This is the 1st 7th grade 1A championship for the Wildcats of Cissna Park.
