Jack Koeppel

Bartonville GS

Jack Koeppel

Principal:

Jack Koeppel of Bartonville Grade School feels good sportsmanship is like a wave in the ocean. It has a ripple effect on schools, families and one's self because a good impression is remembered and paves the way for others.

From math counts and student council groups - to track, baseball, football and basketball - Jack stays very busy when he's not keeping up his straight 'A' report cards.

He most admires his mother for teaching him how to handle not just the tough times, but good times too with grace and gratitude.

Equality is the concept that comes to mind when Jack ponders one change he'd like to see in the world. He points to third world nations where people are unable to provide basic necessities for their families such as food. He says it is unacceptable.

Mechanical Engineering is his career of choice and he hopes to use it to help change the world.
