Game Comments: The final game of the day saw the Panthers of Edwardsville Liberty take on the Junior Potters of Morton JHS. The Potters came out on fire scoring 5 of their 6 three point baskets in the half and holding Edwardsville to 13 points in the half.
Both teams came out sluggish in the start of the second half. #3 Maddy Becker added her fourth three of the game in the third quarter for Morton JHS on her way to a game high 15 points. The Panthers found their shot in the fourth quarter, cut the lead to 6 points and were able to slow the clock down, but the Potters went 11-20 from the free throw line to help maintain their lead and the game.
The Panthers will play the Rockets on Thursday in the third place game and the Potters will play the Falcons in the 8-4A state title game.
