Game Comments: The second quarterfinal match-up of the day saw the Falcons of Rockford Flinn take on the Little Trojans of Charleston. Rockford got out to a quick start with steals on their press that they converted to quick lay-ups. #33 Ambranette Storr led the way for Flinn with 10 points in the quarter. In the second quarter the roles reversed and Charleston held Flinn to 3 points and took the lead in the closing minutes of the half.
At the start of the second half Flinn got multiple looks at the basket with their offensive rebounding. And took the lead back from Charleston. The Falcons continued their press from the first quarter causing multiple turnovers for the Little Trojans that they converted to quick points. Defensive rebounds by the Flinn post players and quick outlet passes led to multiple layups for the Falcons and a 14 point lead at the end of the quarter outscoring Charleston 20-4 in the quarter. Charleston made a run in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too much to overcome and Flinn went on to win 50-34.
