Game Comments: In the final game of the night, the Little Giants of Canton Ingersoll faced the Little Trojans of Charleston. Canton Ingersoll got out to a quick start behind the shooting of Bailey Culver who scored 10 points in the first half. The stifling press of Canton Ingersoll limited the Little Trojans to 6 points in the first half. Charleston came out of the halftime ready to go. Shae Littleford dropped in 8 point in the third quarter for the Little Trojans and cut their lead to 8. As the fourth quarter got underway, the Little Trojans were on the attack. Again, it was Littleford who generated the offense dropping in 9 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter. Charleston cut the lead to two with 1:30 left in the game. Both teams were solid at the line as the seconds elapsed off the clock. Canton Ingersoll did a good job of taking care of the ball as time expired.
Congratulations to both teams on a great game!
Charleston will play in the Consolation game on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
Canton Ingersoll will play in the Championship game on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. |
