Teutopolis jumped to a 7-2 lead, but Olympia answered back to bring the score to 7-4 with 1:26 remaining in the first quarter. It looked like Olympia's Kaiden Finck was going to close out the quarter and keep the Spartans with 2 points, but Teutopolis' Carly Michels' was fouled as time expired and she made 1 of 2 free throws to bring the score to 9-6, Teutopolis. The 2nd quarter began and Olympia came back to tie the game 9-9 and then took a 2-point lead with 4:13 remaining. The Spartans continued their scoring streak with a jumper by Abbi Bode to bring the score to 13-9, Olympia. Teutopolis took the lead away from Olympia on a Kylie Hoelscher jumper with just over a minute left in the first half. The Spartans kept the all moving and drew the foul that brought Abbi Bode to the free throw line. She sank 1 of 2 free throws to keep the score close and the fans on the edge of their seats - Teutopolis claimed the lead going into halftime, 19-14.

Olympia's Abby Stine put the Spartans on the board for the second half of the game. Carly Michels drew another foul and made both of her free throws to bring the score to 21-16, Teutopolis. Teutopolis' 4 points prompted an Olympia timeout with just under 2 minutes remaining. Teutopolis held a 23-16 lead as we headed into the 4th quarter. The Wooden Shoes scored 2 points quickly, but the Spartans responded with their own 2 points, a free throw and drew another foul to bring the score to 25-20. A timeout was called and the Spartans came out firing to bring themselves within 3 points with 1:15 remaining in this 3rd place game. Carly Michels returned to the free throw line twice in the 4th quarter and made 2 of 4 free throws to extend the Wooden Shoes' lead 27-22. With 28.3 remaining, the Spartans had possession after the timeout, but as time expired, Teutopolis came away with the 3rd place victory.

The Olympia Spartans finished their season in 4th place and with a record of 13 wins and 12 losses.
