Lewistown finished second last year losing to Colfax Ridgeview in the 7th grade title game. This was a well-played contest between two evenly matched teams. Avery Smith nailed a 2 pointer at the buzzer from 17 ft. to give Lewistown the lead by 2 after one quarter. The Braves hung tough and outscored the Indians 12-11 in the second quarter to only be down one at the half, 22-21. The Indians really turned up their defensive pressure in the second half as they held the Braves to just 10 total points in the second half. Lewistown, which received a game high 17 points from Raquel Frakes, scored all 10 of its points in the 4th quarter from the charity stripe as the Braves were forced to foul to try and get the ball back. Central made 10 out their 18 free throw attempts in the final quarter to pull away for the victory. Jevani Sickels led Bushnell with 10 points.
