| Game Comments: In the first quarterfinal match-up, the Saints of Trinity Catholic from LaSalle took on the Lancers from Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes. The Lancers took a quick lead and pressured the Saints into turnovers which lead to quick baskets. The Lancers saw balanced attack from multiple players in the first quarter and were led overall by #35 Addison Newbon. The Saints struggled to find their offense in the first half under the high pressure defense by the Lancers. The second half saw the Saints on the board first garnering a couple quick baskets off of rebounds and steals, but the deficit from the first half was too much to overcome and the Lancers went on to win. Leading scorer for the game was Addison Newbon with 20 points. The Lancers will play in tonight’s 5pm semifinal match-up. |
