East Peoria Central Starters: 13, 25, 30, 33, 44. Grant jumped to a 7-0 lead before East Peoria Central's Joe Kelch scored on a driving layup between two defenders. Kelch, who scored 53 points in two games Saturday, faced a 2-3 zone defense from Grant as the game got under way. Grant later switched to a 1-2-2 press with long-armed Michael Green defending Kelch. getting help from Mark Gilchrese and Phillip Cavil out front on the double team. Grant pushed the lead to 24-4 with 5:30 to go in the second quarter. Grant was never threatened in the second half and led 38-21 with 2:35 to go in the third quarter.
