Parking in the main lot is $5.00.

Where to Watch The Competition:

Seating at Corwin Clatt Field is general admission. Fans can sit in the stands on the east and west sides of the stadium. They also may sit on the grassy area inside the south end of the stadium between turns three and four. Fans may not stand against the retaining fence anywhere in the stadium. Fans also are not permitted to place tarps, blankets, etc. on the grassy area at the south end of the stadium. Tents and umbrella tents are not permitted inside the stadium. Fans are expected to become quiet when the starter calls the runners to their marks prior to the start of each running event.

What To Wear and What Not To Wear:

We suggest you wear clothing in school colors to support your team and to help distinguish your cheering section in the stands.

SPIKES/SHOES -- Only the pyramid style spike that is one-quarter inch long or shorter is allowed on the track. When the athletes report to the staging tent, their spikes will be inspected and illegal spikes must be replaced. Athletes in the field events need to bring shoes in which they can compete indoors at the EastSide Centre if that field event is moved indoors because of weather conditions outside. Spikes are not permitted on the competition surface inside the EastSide Centre.

Weather Requirements: Be prepared for all types of weather. Be sure to bring sun screen. Be sure to bring rain gear. Do not bring umbrellas into the stadium.

Lightning: If there is lightning, the meet will be stopped and the stadium will be cleared. EastSide Centre is protected by Thorguard, which is a device that detects lightning within a ten-mile radius. If and when this system detects lightning, a loud horn will sound and a light will flash. When this occurs all athletes and coaches are required to take shelter within EastSide Centre's gymnasium. All fans must exit the fenced area and report immediately to their vehicles in the parking lot.

IESA By-laws require that all fans attending an IESA state series contest wear shirts at all times they are on the site of the state final event. Shirts must be worn as designed by the manufacturer. Body paint is prohibited. This means spectators and athletes cannot have body paint concealed under their clothing and then remove clothing to display the body paint. Face painting is acceptable. Hair can be any color.

Signs and Banners:

IESA By-laws do not allow the displaying of signs, banners, balloons, and such, at the site of a state final event. Keep them at home. The banners on display at the stadium are those that are required by contract to be displayed in the stadium. They are not to be disturbed.

Noisemakers:

IESA By-laws do not allow the use of noisemakers at the state final event. Examples of items that are not allowed include, but are not limited to, Cow Bells, Thunder Sticks, Milk Cartons with rocks inside, shakers, whistles, electronic sound making devices, and such. Come to the state final event ready to clap and cheer for your athletes.

They also may be purchased from the IESA Office following the conclusion of the state final if they are available. Price per program by mail is $7.50, which includes the cost of postage and handling.
