For the 2003-04 school year, tryouts/practice can start December 1, 2003.

**Approved the top four wrestlers from each regional to advance to the sectional.

**Did not approve a recommendation from the basketball advisory committee to increase the length of a basketball quarter to seven minutes. Also, approved a recommendation to move the playing date of the girls and boys basketball sectionals from Tuesday to Wednesday.

**Adopted new baseball bat regulations, effective immediately, as follows:

All bats 31 inches and longer in length must meet all NFHS guidelines, including the three ounce weight vs. length differential, 2 5/8" maximum barrel diameter, and BESR label.

Bats that are 30 inches and under in length that meet all NFHS guidelines, including the three ounce weight vs. length differential, a 2 5/8 inches maximum barrel diameter and BESR label are legal bats.
