Match Comments: The final quarterfinal match-up saw the Saints of Pontiac St. Mary’s and the Honeybears of Mt. Pulaski face off at Pawnee. Mt. Pulaski had a true team effort to win this match. They were led at the net by #23 Skylar Hayes and #20 Ainsley Chandler in the first set of the match. Skylar had a nice kill late in the set to give the team a side-out and #11 Callie Anderson then served out the set. Mt. Pulaski continued to dominate the match in the second set and #6 Abigail Fitzpatrick had a cross court kill followed by a quick tip by Ainsley Chandler up the middle late in the set. #2 Olivia Knoedler served out the match with an ace.
Congratulations to Pontiac St. Mary’s on a great season. Mt. Pulaski will play in the 5:15 semi-final match tonight.
