Match Comments: In a rematch of last year's 7th grade 4A State Championship, the Knights of Bloomington JHS once again defeated Chatham Glenwood to advance to the semi finals of the 2009 8th grade finals. In last year's championship match, BJHS defeated Glenwood 25-22, 25-19. This year's score was almost exactly alike with the Knights claiming a 25-17, 25-22 victory. The second game was a thriller as Glenwood led 22-17 before Maddy Waugh served 7 consecutive service points for the Knights for the game two win and the match. Bloomington used strong net play from the Lawrence twins, Mary and Molly, while Danielle Davis, Kady Thompson, Alexandra Boge, Sydney Hendricks,and Jade Mortimer provided kills, sets and digs to propel the Knights.
