| Match Comments: Chatham Glenwood Starters: 22,26,8,20,19,24. Stanford Olympia Starters: 1,23,11,12,4,3. Stanford Olympia jumped to an 8-1 lead to begin game one and Glenwood tied it at 10-10, then took a 13-10 lead. Glenwood led 24-21 but Olympia scored three straight points to tie the score at 24-24. The lead changed hands three times in the final seven points. Leading 28-27, Olympia's Tania Van Hoom blistered an ace serve down the right sideline to give the Saprtans the Game 1 win. In game 2, Glenwood rolled out to a 6-1 lead, then to a 9-3 margin before Olympia made a run to cut the deficit to 13-12. Glenwood's Shea Elmore hit a kill for a 15-12 lead. Olympia finally tied the score at 17-17. The score was last tied at 19-19. An ace serve by Olympia's Alissa Cross gave the Spartans a 21-19 lead. She got another ace to make it 23-19. A bump by Olympia's Tania Van Hoom fell into the Glenwod middle for a 24-21 Olympia lead and Van Hoom followed with a blistering ace serve for the 25-21 final margin. |
