| Game Comments: The Lancers of Joliet Laraway faced the Knights of Normal Epiphany in the third quarterfinal match-up today. The Knights held the Lancers scoreless in the first quarter until the last minute with a balanced attack and pressure defense. Laraway held the Knights to 4 points in the fourth quarter and made a little run at the deficit in the quarter. The second half was a defensive battle for both teams. Laraway was able to cut the lead to 6 points by holding the Knights to 9 points in the second half, but the deficit was too much to overcome. Leading scorer for the game was#24 Jalysa Stokes with 14 points for Laraway. Epiphany had two players in double digits, Abbey Davis and Natalia Garcia. Normal Epiphany will play in the 6:30 semifinal game tonight. |
