Game Comments: Despite a furious 4th quarter rally from Forrest Prairie Central that almost erased a 23-11 third quarter lead, the Panthers of Edwardsville Liberty hung on to win their opening round game, 35-30, in the 7AA girls tournament. After taking control of the game with a 21-10 halftime lead, both teams came out cold in the third quarter but Liberty managed to increase their lead by two and led 29-16 after three quarters. Prairie Central then outscored Liberty 14-6 in the final quarter but it wasn't enough as the Hawks finished their season at 20-4.
