Game Comments: Shorewwod Troy used balance scoring in the first half to take a 14-7 lead into the lockeroom of the 3rd game in the 2005 IESA Class 7AA girls basketball tournament. Leading 22-12 heading into the 4th quarter, the Trojans looked like they were on an easy path to the next round. However, the Panters of St. Joseph would not go away easily and scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter to cut the lead to two, 22-20. Troy scored four consecutive points to extend the lead to 26-20. Morgan Graves then scored on a driving lay-up at the 1:20 mark and made three additional free throws to seal the victory for Troy. Graves scored all seven of her points in the 4th quarter. St. Joseph finishes the 2005 season with a 22-1 record while the Trojans of Troy will play Monday and enter that contest with a 20-1 record. |
