The Lancers and the Saints traded baskets in the first quarter and were tied at 10 after the first period. The game was still tight at the half with the Lancers holding a 3 point edge. The Saints scored early in the second half to come to with in 1 but the Lancers answered with a basket of their own. Both teams scored ten in the third quarter which ended with the Lancers continuing to hold a three point margin. The Lancers picked up their scoring pace in the fourth and pulled away to seal the win late in the fourth quarter. The Lancers earn their third state trophy and their second state championship trophy (2009).
