Game Comments: The second quarterfinal game of the day featured the Bobcats of Lowpoint-Washburn and the Saints of Pontiac St. Mary's. The Saint's held a 4 point edge at the end of the first quarter. This lead expanded to six by the half. Free throws accounted for over half of the scoring for the Bobcats and those shots along with not allowing a basket from the Saints kept the Bobcats in the game as they pulled to within two points by the end of the third quarter. The Saints doubled up the scoring output in the fourth by an 8-4 margin to seal the win by 6. Ryan Weir led all scorers with 18. Jackson Swanson led the Bobcats with 17. The Bobcats finish their season with a record of 22-2. The Saints move on to face the Panthers of Lincoln Chester-East Lincoln in the first semifinal game of the afternoon. |
