Game Comments: In the third place match-up pitted the Knights of Ottawa Marquette against the Wildcats of Lovejoy.
Ottawa Marquette capitalized on several turnovers at the start of the game, but the Wildcats of Lovejoy fought back to take the lead at the end of the quarter. In the first half of play #23 Antwon Glasper and #21 Keymonde Lee led the way for Lovejoy with 12 and 14 points apiece. Wildcats were quick on defense and the dominated the boards not allowing for any second chance points for the Knights. Their quick play at the guard position caused several turnovers which they then drove the court and converted into quick points.
In the second half of play, Ottawa tried to close the gap shooting 4 threes in the third quarter and 6 for the half, but the deficit and quick play of Lovejoy were too much to overcome. #23 Antwon Glasper added 13 more points in the half to end the game leading scorer with 25 points. Glaspers heads up play in addition to his points helped the Wildcats of Lovejoy take home the third 3rd place trophy.
Congratulations to both teams on a great season.
