Game Comments: The second quarterfinal match-up pitted the Shamrocks of Jacksonville Our Saviour against the Knights from Ottawa Marquette. These two teams battled it out for four quarters. In the first half of the Shamrocks opened the scoring with a three by #42 Drew Winters. Marquette was quick to answer and took a 14-9 lead into the second quarter. Turnovers in the second quarter and aggressive defense by Jacksonville had the tides turning and Jacksonville took a 1 point lead into the locker-rooms at the half.
After the half, both teams continued their defense play and created points off of turnovers equally. Ottawa Marquette had the lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Shamrocks took it back quickly. With two minutes to play Ottawa ran and out of bounds play after the time out to #5 Logan Komater who drained the three and gave Ottawa the lead 38-37. The Knights would not relinquish this lead. Leading scorer for the game was #42 Drew Winters for Jacksonville Our Saviour with 20 points. Ottawa Marquette had 2 players in double digits #10 Evan Green and #23 Max Donahue. Congratulations on a great season for both teams. The Marquette Knights will play Gifford in the 5:00 semi-final game tonight.
