Game Comments: The first match-up of the day was exciting. The Chieftains of Burr Ridge faced the Chargers of Peoria Christian. The offensive and defensive intensity on both teams was well matched. The Chargers did well breaking the press of the Chieftains early in the first quarter. The Chieftains countered with the superb ball-handling and shooting of Michael Smith. Smith scored 14 of his 27 points in the first half. Both teams flew up and down the court and ended the half on an unbelievable half-court shot by Smith. As the second half opened, the Chieftains settled in and began to open their lead. The Chargers found troubling in the lane because of the long reach of the Chieftains shot-blocking machine Nick Rakocevic. Burr Ridge was lead by Michael Smith with 27 points. Peoria Christian was led by Elijah Henson with 14 points.

Burr Ridge moves on to the semi-finals later this evening.
