Jefferson jumped to an early 8-0 lead but the Mustangs fought back to close the gap to just three at the end of 1st quarter. Mike Shepski scored 7 of his game high 16 points in the 2nd quarter to keep Homer Glen in the game. However, the Jaguars turned up the defensive pressure in the 3rd quarter and outscored Homer Glen 17-3 in the quarter to take a 20 point lead into the 4th quarter. With a running clock once the lead reached 30, Jefferson coasted to an easy 57-27 victory to advance to the semifinals at 5:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Jefferson, now 19-0, was led in scoring by Treyvon Williams with 16 points.
