| Game Comments: The Spartans of Madison raced to an early 21-7 lead and never looked back as they easily defeated the Beecher Bobcats, 57-20, in the last quarterfinal game of the 2008 IESA 7th grade Class 3A state finals. Madison will now face Washington Middle School in the day's last semifinal contest. Madison outscored Beecher in every quarter and held the Bobcats scoreless in the 4th quarter. They were led in scoring by Sterling Harrell with 20 points while Demetrius Kirkwood reached double figures with 13 points. Grant Nykaza led Beecher's effort with 14 points as the Bobcats end their 2008 campaign with a 19-5 record. |
