Weather Situations:

Lightning - If there is lightning, the game will be stopped and the stadium will be cleared. EastSide Centre is protected by Thorguard, which is a device that detects lightning within a ten-mile radius. If and when this system detects lightning, a loud horn will sound and a yellow light will flash. When this occurs all athletes and coaches are required to take shelter within EastSide Centre's gymnasium. All fans must exit the fenced area and report immediately to their vehicles in the parking lot.

Rain or Showers: The game may or may not continue depending on the elements.

Delays or Postponements: Fans should go to the IESA web site www.iesa.org for up-to-date information.

Makeup Dates: If games are postponed, the state final (from the point it is postponed) moves to the next playable day, except there will be no games played on Sunday. If Friday's schedule is postponed, the tournament begins on Saturday. If Saturday's games are postponed, the tournament resumes Monday, etc.

Where to Sit:

The IESA, in conjunction with the host school, assigns the dugouts used by the teams in each game. Fans following their team are urged to sit in the stands on the side of the field where their team dugout is located. All seats for fans are unreserved. IESA may reserve some seats behind home plate, or elsewhere, for the news media covering the game.
